For many years I’ve believed that one needs to travel to distant places to capture worthy photos, images that truly stun you. Well, perhaps for travel photography that is half-true, but stepping outside of the restriction of genre allows us to find beauty in many other places — such as our neighbourhood.

This photo is my most recent addition to the collection, as it was captured in early 2021. While adventure sometimes requires us to leave home, stories can be found everywhere. The story that I see in this branch is what I’ve called “Afterlife".

How does such beauty still exist in death?
Could that which has passed still bring love into our lives?
Does an abrupt ending await us on the other side, or further expansion still?
